Cells
The Cell Series began in 2014. I Began to think abstractly about how chaos and order interacted in our lives. As I thought about how all the parts of the day need to interact with each other I made to cognitive leap to extend these ideas into basic forms. I thought about how disease and trauma affect the body. I researched the chaotic cellular structure of illnesses such as Parkinson's, Alcoholism, Cancer and began to develop a visual language. The series explores the use of repetition, simple line structure and contrast to create order.
